Visit 124 studios with artists working and demonstrating their techniques while creating original art work at the Arizona Fine Art EXPO at 26540 N. Scottsdale Road.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Friday, Jan. 10 through Sunday, March 22, artist studios within “festive white tents,” set up in a 44,000 square-foot space, will showcase local and international artists participating at the 10-weeks event.
Artisans will sketch in radiograph, pencil, charcoal and pastels; sculpt and fire clay; chisel, carve and shape stone; plus saw and carve wood sculptures and fine furniture, according to a press release.
Artists also will paint in all media; stain and etch gourds; design lost wax casting; solder and weld jewelry; and assemble mosaics, the release noted.
Art is for sale and commissions are welcomed, the release said, adding that patrons can stroll through an enhanced two-acre sculpture garden, featuring stone, metal, glass and mixed media sculptures.
Season passes cost $10; season passes for seniors and military are $8; and children under 12 are free. Parking is free.
