Pastor Brett Everett announced that Desert Hills Presbyterian Church has been selected as a site for the 2022 Legacy Grandparenting Summit.

According to a press release, Legacy Coalition’s annual two-day event will be held on Oct. 20 and 21 at the church’s campus at 34605 N. Tom Darlington Road.

Everett pointed out in the release that the Legacy Coalition’s mission and values align greatly with those of Desert Hills Presbyterian Church.

“Grandparents play a very important role in the development of their grandchildren into devoted followers of Jesus Christ,” Everett stated. “We are partnering with the Legacy Coalition in this critically important mission to equip grandparents to break free from the stereotype that their role is just to babysit and entertain the children.”

Larry Fowler, the CEO of the Legacy Coalition also explained in the release that grandparents have “important opportunities” to pass their faith on to their grandchildren.

“At Legacy Coalition, we help grandparents grow in their biblical role through our resources and events, so they can have a greater spiritual impact on their family,” Fowler stated. “We are delighted to be working with Desert Hills Presbyterian Church because of their focus on discipleship and their commitment to excellence in all they do.”

Desert Hills Presbyterian Church is an evangelical Presbyterian church located in Scottsdale. The church’s mission is “more people, more like Christ,” the release stated.
