60-day Loop 101 ramp closure in north Scottsdale begins

PHOENIX – The northbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Raintree Drive is closed for about two months for reconstruction as part of a freeway widening project.

The ramp in north Scottsdale was closed early Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers who normally use the ramp should plan alternate routes, including exiting northbound Loop 101 at Cactus Road. Travelers can then use northbound Hayden Road or 94th Street to reach Raintree Drive, ADOT officials said.

The $108 million Pima Freeway Improvement Project between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road started in January 2024.

Over the course of the two-year Loop 101 project, on- and off-ramps between Shea Boulevard and Pima Road/Princess Drive are being reconstructed to fit with the wider freeway. The entire project is scheduled for completion in early 2026.
