Family outings are fun, but sometimes not everyone in the family wants to do the same thing.

It’s good that Queen Creek has a variety of events to choose from in May.

For those who like their fun to be noisy and exciting, they can choose a monster truck event.

For those who prefer the theater, the Queen Creek Performing Arts is offering a dance performance.

If you love the outdoors and are willing to leave town for a quick day trip to cool off, Salt River Tubing is now open for the summer.

Monster Truck Wars
May 16-17
Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre
20464 E. Riggs Road
It was monster trucks that proved the Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre could offer a lot more than horse shows and rodeos.

Monster Truck Wars is a national touring company specializing in monster trucks, truck/tractor pulling and mud racing.
It has an A+ rating with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for using the same equine quality dirt and arenas where you’re apt to see bucking broncos.

These machines bring their own horsepower. Spectators will get to see the Outlaw, a 2021 Custom Ford F250 with 1,750 hp and weighing in at 9,500 pounds. Then there is the Shark Attack, a 2023 Whale Shark with 1,750 hp and weighing 10,200 pounds.

Rockin’ The Runway
May 3

1 p.m.
Queen Creek Performing Arts Center
2149 E. Ocotillo Road
Get ready to strike a pose as the Starz In Motion Dance School presents Rockin’ The Runway.

Fashion meets movement in this high-energy spring performance where Starz In Motion dancers will take the stage with choreography inspired by the glitz and glamour of the runway.

From elegant ballet to hot jazz and everything in between, the show is a celebration of creativity, passion and the hard work of the dance students.

Located at 1880 S. Alma School Road in Chandler, Starz In Motion offers instruction in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop/breaking, musical theater, tap, acrobatics/tumbling and more from toddlers to adults.

Tickets for Rockin’ The Runway can be purchased at https://bit.ly/42mt8Il.
