Town recycling event set for October
Town of Queen Creek
Residents can now register for the Oct. 12 QC Recycles event.

Queen Creek is now taking registration for its October recycling event.
The free QC Recycles drive-thru, drop-off event runs from 7 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, at the town’s Field Operations Facility, 19715 S. 220th St.
Town residents can register for the QC Recycles event at QueenCreekAZ.gov/RecycleEvents. Those who register by Monday, Oct. 7, will receive a Fast Pass via email 48 hours before the event to help them quickly get through the event, according to a town press release.
The following items will be accepted:
Appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers and dryers)
Electronics (computers, hard drives, computer keyboards, power cords, monitors, televisions, VCRs, etc.)
Metals (steel, copper, aluminum)
Tires (maximum of four, rims removed, no commercial tires)
Paint (latex or water-based in original containers; containers cannot exceed 5 gallons)
Paper shredding (up to five boxes per vehicle; please remove folders, binder clips or other metal or plastic objects from paper)
Prescription drugs in partnership with the Queen Creek Police Department (safely dispose of unused, unwanted, and expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medication; however, liquids, needles and inhalers will not be accepted)
Textiles and small furniture in partnership with Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (donate gently used clothing, linens, shoes, artwork, books, sporting goods, toys, musical instruments, and small furniture; large furniture and mattresses will not be accepted)
The items you want to dispose of must be in your trunk or truck bed. The town and its partners are not responsible for personal items left in your trunk or truck bed.
The following items will not be accepted:
Household hazardous waste such as oils, oil-based paints, aerosols, chemicals, and batteries
Air conditioners
Batteries
Mattresses
Construction materials
Items from commercial businesses

Items accepted in your curbside recycling cart, such as aluminum cans, plastic water bottles and broken-down cardboard boxes, can be taken to the QC Recycling Center on Ellsworth Road, just north of Crewse Lane.
