The Town of Queen Creek recognizes the importance of essential businesses that remain open to serve the community during COVID-19, and the need for temporary banners that allow businesses to communicate with the public.
To assist businesses and the community, the town is making temporary adjustments related to qualifying signs, according to a release.
The town will allow two temporary banners in compliance with the requirements of the Sign Code (maximum allowance of 48 square feet), without the need for a sign permit, a savings of $250.
Temporary banners will be allowed to remain until the spread of COVID-19 has been contained and business operations return to normal. At that time, the temporary signs must be removed or permitted. Call Erik Swanson, interim planning administrator, at 480-358-3013 with any questions.
Loans, resources
In addition to the assistance the Town of Queen Creek is offering, the U.S. Small Business Administration is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of COVID-19, the release states.
The Arizona Commerce Authority’s COVID-19 Arizona Business Resources page provides information, tools and guidance on business finance support, workforce assistance, essential infrastructure information, supply chain and logistics, housing and community volunteer opportunities.
