Queen Creek will host a recycling event  8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Field Operations Facility, 19715 S. 220th St.

Registration Process

The recycling drop-off event is being held in partnership with Waste Connections of Arizona and is offered to residents within Queen Creek.

Residents can reserve a time to drop off recyclables by visiting QueenCreekAZ.gov/Recycle. Register by Nov. 8 to receive a confirmation email that includes a “fast pass” for entry into the recycling event.

Queen Creek residents are invited to drop off a variety of materials at the recycling event. The following items will be accepted:

  • Electronics: computers, hard drives, computer keyboards, power cords, monitors, televisions, VCRs, etc.
  • Metals: steel, copper, aluminum.
  • Tires: maximum of four, rims removed, no commercial tires.
  • Appliances: refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers and dryers.
  • Paper Shredding: up to five boxes per vehicle - items from commercial businesses will not be accepted (remove folder, binder clips or other metal or plastic objects).
  • Paint: latex or water-based in original containers (containers cannot exceed five gallons).
  • Prescription Drugs: In partnership with MCSO-District 6 Queen Creek- safely dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medication; however, liquids, needles and inhalers will not be accepted.
  • Textiles: In partnership with Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona donate gently used clothing, linens and shoes.

Items accepted in your curbside recycling cart such as aluminum cans, plastic water bottles and broken down cardboard boxes can be taken to the Queen Creek Recycle Center on Ellsworth Road, just north of Crewse Lane.

Household hazardous waste items will not be accepted at the Nov. 13 event. The town partners with Gilbert to offer free HHW vouchers to Queen Creek Trash & Recycling Services customers.

Items such as oil, chemicals and rechargeable batteries should never be placed in curbside trash or recycling carts.

Vouchers can be requested online, and other disposal resources can be found on the town’s website.

For more information about recycling services through the town, visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/Recycling.
