Queen Creek recognizes Public Works Week

Posted

The Town of Queen Creek is celebrating Public Works Week May 16-22.

With the theme ‘stronger together,' the week is a reminder of the important functions the professionals in the public works provide on a daily basis.

Public Works helps to create a stronger community through street maintenance, traffic engineering, the capital improvement program, environmental services, facility maintenance, fleet and municipal grounds.

“This week is part of a national initiative to recognize the hard work and dedication of public works professionals,” stated Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney in a press release. “The work they do on a day-to-day basis is so important to the safety of our community and the quality of life we all enjoy. I’d like to thank our public works team. They do a fantastic job!”

The department is committed to safety, efficiency and quality customer service.

Queen Creek's Public Works Department provides an array of services, impacting all five strategic priorities identified in the town’s corporate strategic plan. From fixing roadways and maintaining parks, to ensuring hazardous materials are properly disposed of, the town’s Public Works Department is essential to creating a stronger community.
