Queen Creek police issue sex offender notification

The Queen Creek Police Department has issued a Level 2 sex offender notification.

QCPD reports that Javier Rivera, 33, is residing at 23141 S. 215th St.

On Feb. 10, 2012, Rivera was convicted on three counts of attempted molestation of a child, QCPD reported. The victims were known to him.

An Arizona Risk Assessment was completed by QCPD and Rivera was determined to be a Level 2 risk to the community, or intermediate risk.

Rivera is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, with black hair and green eyes.

He has a tattoo on his back that says, “Rivera,” and another tattoo on his left arm that says, “Respect,” the QCPD notification stated.

“In accordance with the Arizona state law, QCPD has elected to disseminate that the listed individual has established residence in the town of Queen Creek. This information is made available for the purpose of notifying the public in compliance with Arizona state law. Anyone who uses this information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal prosecution,” the notification continued.
