Queen Creek gearing up for Halloween

Posted

Queen Creek will get into the Halloween spirit early with its Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Oct. 16.

The event takes place 5-9 p.m. at the Queen Creek Town Center on Ellsworth Road.

Along with Trunk or Treat, the event will have carnival games, escape rooms, food vendors, nerf wars and more. Trunk or Treat provides a safe environment for families to enjoy an inexpensive evening of Halloween fun in a festival atmosphere. Children trick-or-treat by going from car trunk to car trunk to get their bag filled with goodies.

Queen Creek is seeking candy donations from the community for the annual Halloween event. Trunk or Treat is presented by Rodeo Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram, an Earnhardt Dealership. Thousands of pieces of candy were distributed on Trunk or Treat Street at the 2019 event.

To keep up with the growing demand of trick-or-treaters, the Recreation Division is holding a candy drive.

Now through Oct. 8, residents can donate a bag of candy at the Recreation Annex for a chance to win one of four grand prize Trunk or Treat VIP Experiences. The VIP Experience will include four “no wait” in line at the Trunk or Treat Street experience wristbands, a $20 carnival ticket voucher and one VIP parking pass. Winners will be contacted on Monday, Oct. 11. You earn a raffle ticket for every 1-pound bag of unopened, individually wrapped candy donated.

A limited number of VIP Experiences also will be available for purchase at the Recreation Annex for $75 until supplies run out. Everyone using the front-of-line VIP experience must have a wristband, regardless of age.
