Queen Creek firefighter injured battling Sunday morning blaze

A Queen Creek firefighter was hurt Sunday morning as crews from three departments worked to extinguish a house fire.

The blaze began about 6 a.m. June 4 in the 21500 block of East Camacho and was brought under control several hours later, officials said.

The house was evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters, they said.

The Queen Creek firefighter was taken to a hospital as a precaution, but his injuries were considered minor, officials said.

Gilbert and Mesa fire departments assisted Queen Creek.
