Queen Creek Fire & Medical host child car seat safety event

The Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department will be offering a free child car seat installation and safety inspection.

The event will take place from 9-10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 27 at Fire Station 1, 20678 E. Civic Parkway.

“QCFMD is excited to offer this opportunity to our residents once again,” stated Andrew Marlar, deputy fire chief at QCFMD, in a press release. “Car crashes are the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 13. Car seats and boosters provide much needed protection for infants and children involved in a crash, so we hope to see a great turnout at this event and our trained technicians will be there to make sure the job is done correctly,”

The event does require prior registration. To register for a time slot click here and pick a desired time. Participants will need to bring their own car seats and the instructions that came with the seat.

If residents need help obtaining a child safety seat, QCFMD has a limited quantity available. Call the Fire Administration number at 480-644-2400 to make the request.
