Queen Creek church holds Christmas market

Posted

The Second Annual Merry & Bright Christmas Market will take place on Saturday, Nov. 26 (Small Business Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Queen Creek Campus of Central Christian Church located at 22505 E. Ocotillo Road.

The event is sponsored by Central Women Ministries, but it is an event for the entire Queen Creek Community to come and enjoy. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Parking is free and admission to the Market is a new, unopened toy (per family) or a cash donation to support the “Fill the Sleigh” campaign in partnership with local schools.

All toys collected will be distributed to local schools who then give them to parents in need (sign up is done through the schools).

This year the Market will have more than 70 local artisans and vendors in three different indoor areas and two outdoor areas. Vendors will offer a wide variety of items ranging from Christmas wreaths to sweet treats, handmade jewelry and on-site embroidered items. All of the vendors accept cash and most accept credit/debit cards as payment.

There will be a supervised and secure childcare area available for $5 for one hour. This is limited to kids in grades K-6 and they can watch Christmas movies and games.  All childcare workers have been cleared to supervise the children.

Another feature this year is a basket raffle with items from local Queen Creek businesses, vendors and other Central Ministries. Tickets will be for sale (cash only) for $1 each or six for $5. The drawings will be held that day at 1:45 p.m.  Winners need not be present. All the money raised in the raffle will also go toward buying toys and gift cards for “Fill the Sleigh.”
