QCUSD middle school name changes approved

Queen Creek and Newell Barney middle schools will be known as junior high schools in the 2020-21 school year.

The Queen Creek Unified School District Governing Board changed the names as part of a consent agenda vote at a recent meeting.

The changing of names of Queen Creek Middle School, 20435 S. Old Ellsworth Road, to Queen Creek Junior High School; and Newell Barney Middle School, 24937 S. Sossaman Road, to Newell Barney Junior High School for the 2020-21 school year will aid in record-keeping of proper information to send to the Arizona Department of Education, according to the agenda.
