Queen Creek school district awarded funds for math and science programs

A grant program from Salt River Project has awarded $3,989 that will be used for second- through fifth-grade students in the Queen Creek Unified School District.
The funds will allow students to create technologies and explore the various fields of engineering when their district purchases Engineering is Elementary Curriculum Units, according to a release.
Students at all levels and multiple schools throughout QCUSD will have opportunities to become problem solvers utilizing STEAM skills, according to the release.
SRP awarded $125,794 to 27 schools in service and impact territories, the release states.
SRP annually contributes more than $1.3 million to education initiatives, grants and partnerships and provides free training and resources to educators throughout Arizona.
