The San Tan Valley’s Pan de Vida Foundation is offering 26 free mammograms.

The mammograms will be conducted by SimonMed’s Mobile On-site Mammography, or MOM Bus, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road.

The screenings are by appointment only and with only 26 mammograms being offered, Pan de Vida is urging interested residents to register early, a press release from the foundation stated.

Patients can register online or by calling 800-285-0272 or 480-967-3767 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The 3D mammograms are for patients 35 and older. Patients under 35 must provide a doctor referral to receive a screening, the release stated.

Families are invited to attend as onsite vendors will be offering blood glucose-finger sticks, blood pressure checks, height, weight body mass index, vision, mental health assessment, referrals for abnormalities, dental checks and more, the release stated. There will be raffles and door prizes.

The nonprofit Pan De Vida Foundation was created in 2003 to meet the needs of the underserved in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley, its website stated. It operates in Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
