Florence residents should be prepared for lane restrictions and ramp closures along State Route 79 from now through Oct. 30.
The Arizona Department of Transportation stated in a press release that the lane restrictions and ramp closures will happen daily, and motorists should expect heavy traffic and delays.
ADOT is advising drivers to obey posted speed limits and detour signs, and use caution around construction workers. ADOT maintenance crews are working on a paving project.
Work is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, beginning at milepost 138 just north of Florence and continuing to the US 60 junction.
