When was Above Par Network started and why?: APN was founded in January 2019 with the goal of reimagining the networking experience. While traditional networking organizations have their place, we saw the need for something fresh and engaging. Instead of typical, formal networking events, we set out to create a group focused on authentic connections rather than transactional interactions. What is something many people don’t know about you and Above Par Network?: APN isn’t just a golf group — far from it. In fact, we didn’t offer any golf events in our first year. During COVID, one of our members suggested a golf outing to bring people together, and from there, our golf events grew. Now, in addition to local golf events, we’re excited to offer three golf trips next year to Palm Springs, Coronado Island and Myrtle Beach. The name Above Par Network actually represents our commitment to “above-average” networking. Beyond golf, APN features networking happy hours, lunch mobs, a cigar club, a comprehensive business development program, pub crawls, and so much more.

What’s one thing you want people to know about Above Par Network?: Unlike other networking groups, APN offers affordable membership options starting at just $89 for a social membership, with our basic business membership priced at only $175 per year. How is Above Par Network involved in the local community?: We proudly support several local nonprofits in our network, raising funds through our annual poker tournament each April and a new Bowl-A-Thon starting in 2025. However, our greatest contribution to the local community is our comprehensive business development program for network members. These events provide essential resources and support to help small- and medium-sized businesses grow sustainably for years to come.
