Higley High School graduates parade May 20

Students who are graduating this year from Higley High School have been invited to participate in a parade of vehicles Wednesday.

"Honk, cheer and wave --- we're having a senior graduation parade," according to a release.

It starts at 6 p.m. May 20. A traveling DJ is to lead the parade.

Students are asked to wear their caps and gowns, decorate the cars and have fun. They are to follow all traffic laws and social-distancing guidelines.

Participants must register on a Facebook page.

"Our graduates are in a unique situation this year, and our hearts go out to them," according to the Facebook group description at Higley High School Class Of 2020 - Adopt A Senior & Graduation Parade.

"This is simply an attempt to make them feel incredibly special and spectacular by being pampered. Please invite friends who would be willing to adopt a senior or invite people that you know that have a senior at Higley High School. The more people we get, the more successful this will be and our hope is to get every senior on here and have them be adopted," it says.
