Volunteers are needed for the 7-11 a.m. Oct. 17 edible flower planting event at Queen Creek Botanical Gardens, 25002 S. 206th St. in Queen Creek.

“Come and learn hands-on techniques for planting edible flowers, herbs and fruit trees at our next volunteer planting event at the Queen Creek Botanical Gardens on Saturday, Oct. 17,” according to a release.

“We’d love you to join us in beautifying and putting finishing touches on some of the garden areas as we prepare to open phase 1 — so exciting,” it states.
