Rittenhouse Elementary School, now home of the San Tan Historical Society Museum, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

To celebrate, the San Tan Historical Society will be hosting an open house at the museum from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 26 at 20425 S. Ellsworth Road.

Officials from the town of Queen Creek are expected to attend the event, as well as members of Queen Creek founding families, according to a Facebook posting from the San Tan Historical Society.

Parking for the event is located behind the Old Rittenhouse School Museum off Queen Creek Road.
