The price of a gallon of regular gas has dropped by about 25 cents a gallon in the last week at stations across the East Valley and Phoenix.

The decline follows a post-Thanksgiving trend nationally as demand for gas declines and the supply of fuel grows, according to AAA Arizona.

Prices in the East Valley are at $4.07 a gallon, down from $4.34 a week ago.

Per-gallon costs in Scottsdale, which AAA calculates separately, are at $4.24 a gallon, down 24 cents a gallon from a week ago.

AAA Arizona combines Phoenix and Mesa in its price average, which stands at $4.05 a gallon. A week ago, the cost was $4.30.
