There were a ton of donations and we are greatly appreciative of all of those who have donated to the district and it really does mean a lot and we appreciate the generosity of everyone who donates and it helps.
– QCUSD Governing Board President Ken Brague
Queen Creek Unified School District is to receive $1,000 for every home that is sold in 181.2 acres at the northwest comer of Ellsworth Road and Chandler Heights Road.
That agreement and donations to schools from Wells Fargo were recently approved by the QCUSD Governing Board in a consent agenda vote with other items.
“There were a ton of donations and we are greatly appreciative of all of those who have donated to the district and it really does mean a lot and we appreciate the generosity of everyone who donates and it helps,” QCUSD Governing Board President Ken Brague said after the vote.
Ellsworth Income Properties
The $1,000 per home from Ellsworth Income Properties is to go to a district capital fund to supplement capital educational needs --- such as technology and construction --- for students who reside within the district’s boundaries, according QCUSD Governing Board documents.
“The parties acknowledge that the contribution of the ‘total school payment’ to the district in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement is intended to address the anticipated impact of the development of the property on the district,” a donation agreement states.
“The district acknowledges that in exchange for the full and complete payment of the ‘total school payment’ in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement, owner will have no obligation to donate a school site as part of the entitlement or development of the property,” it states.
Wells Fargo donations
Donations were recently accepted from Wells Fargo, 6111 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas. They were:
$90 from a community support campaign, to Jack Barnes Elementary School.
$50 from educational matching gifts, to Jack Barnes Elementary School.
$55 and $102 from “YourCause” matched donations, to Queen Creek High School.
