Construction begins on new housing development in San Tan Valley

Construction is underway on a new 59-acre planned community located at the southeast corner of Ocotillo and Gantzel roads in San Tan Valley.

The development, called Terraza, will have 170 homes when it is completed, according to developer, Tri Pointe Homes.

“Tri Pointe Homes is committed to San Tan Valley’s long-term growth, and we’re excited to offer new homes to meet the evolving needs of this area, stated Tri Pointe Homes Arizona’s Division President James Attwood in a press release.

Terraza will include the neighborhoods, Lucent and Solstice, offering eight floor plans. The homes are expected to range from approximately 2,050 square feet to 3,900 square feet, featuring three to six bedrooms, up to four baths, and two to three bay garages, depending on the floor plan, the release added.

Both neighborhoods are expected to offer one- and two-story homes with Spanish, desert, and farmhouse exterior styles.

Planned community amenities will include lakes, trails, playgrounds, a dog park, a fire pit, ramadas and a yoga lawn. Terraza is expected to open in early 2025.
