The J.O. Combs Unified School District is to inviting the community to a free showing of the documentary "Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age."

It is 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Combs Performing Arts Center on the Combs High School 2505 E. Germann Road in San Tan Valley, according to  release.

There is no cost to attend and doors open at 5:30 pm. A brief sneak peek of the film can be found at screenagersmovie.com.

Hosted by the district's Parent University, the screening of the award-winning film will explore the impact of screen technology, social media and video games on kids, and offer parents and families proven solutions that work, according to the release.

Following the screening, there will be a brief moderated discussion offering practical ideas on how parents can help kids navigate the digital world. Parents are encouraged to bring their children ages 10 and above.
