Combs launches social campaign for community photos

Independent Newsmedia
The J.O. Combs Unified School District recently launched a social media campaign to collect community photos to create a mosaic for the new district office scheduled to open in January 2020.
Students, parents, families, alumni, business owners and community members are encouraged to take part in this campaign ending Dec. 31, 2019, according to a release.
In order to participate, community members need to take photos on their public Instagram or Twitter account and post them using #WeAreCombs.
When the campaign ends, all of the photos will be assembled into a large scale mosaic that will be displayed in the Governing Board room of the new district office, according to the release.
"It is truly the support of our community that made the construction of our new office possible, and it is only fitting that the character of our community is represented and displayed through this giant mosaic," Dr. Greg Wyman, superintendent, said in the release. "We encourage everyone to join us in this exciting campaign, and to share your photos and Combs pride with us."
Community members not on social media are also able to upload photos online. The direct link to submit photos is events.luster.cc/?hashtag=wearecombs.
