Christmas tree, money donated to Queen Creek schools

Donations of a Christmas tree and funds from $7 to $1,500 were recently approved for Queen Creek schools.

The Queen Creek Unified School District Governing Board approved the donations as part of a Feb. 11 consent agenda.

They are:

  • $7 from YourCause LLC Trustee for the Wells Fargo Community Support Campaign to Queen Creek Middle School.
  • $147.42 from Kona Ice of South Gilbert and Queen Creek to Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary School.
  • $105 and $77 from Wells Fargo to Queen Creek High School. The smaller amount is earmarked for the softball team.
  • A Christmas tree valued at $280.50 from Andrea Nielsen to Eastmark High School.
  • $550 from Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary School PTO to Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary for field trip transportation for third graders.
  • $550 from Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary School PTO to Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary for field trip transportation.
  • $217 and $400.25 from Jack Barnes Elementary School PTO and Wells Fargo Foundation Educational Matching Gifts Program to Jack Barnes Elementary for the first (smaller amount) and second grades (larger amount).
  • $1,000 from FujiFilm Electronic Materials to Queen Creek Elementary School.
  • $1,500 from Queen Creek Middle School PTO, from a grant received by Safeway, to Queen Creek Elementary.
  • $1,500 from Queen Creek Middle School PTO, from a grant received by Safeway, to Queen Creek High School.
  • $1,500 from Queen Creek Middle School PTO, from a grant received by Safeway, to Queen Creek Unified School District Special Education Department.
