Central Arizona College’s math department recently hosted the 2019 Middle School Math Contest at the San Tan Campus.

More than 130 students from 13 schools throughout Pinal County participated.

Central Arizona College hosts 14th Annual Pinal County Middle School Math Contest

Central Arizona College’s math department recently hosted the 2019 Middle School Math Contest at the San Tan Campus.

More than 130 students from 13 schools throughout Pinal County participated.

Following are the top three placings for the team and individual competitions, as well as the top three school rankings.

Team competition:

  • First place: Adrian Edgar and Evelyn Spence (San Tan Heights K-8)
  • Second place: Nevaeh Lewis & Breanna Sanchez (San Tan Heights K-8)
  • Third place: Cameron Butler (JO Combs)

Individual competition:

  • Mathlete of the year: Logan Pflugfelder (JO Combs)
  • Second place: Kenton Wilson (Desert Winds Middle School)
  • Third place: Brady McMullen (Maricopa Wells Middle School)

School rankings:

  • First place: JO Combs
  • Second place: Circle Cross Ranch K-8
  • Third place: San Tan Heights K-8
