CBRE signs 2 restaurants at New Square in Chandler

Independent Newsmedia
Two new restaurants have signed on at New Square, a multi-use development on 4.7 acres at Arizona Avenue and Chicago Street in downtown Chandler.
The two concepts joining the project are The Stillery and Jinya Ramen Bar, according to a release.
LeDonna Spongberg and Kerry Linthicum with CBRE in Phoenix are handling the retail leasing at the project, which is being developed by HCW Development and Chandler-based Spike Lawrence Ventures.
The Stillery, a Nashville-based restaurant, is to occupy an 8,139-square-foot space for its first Arizona location. The restaurant, which focuses on “chef’s comfort food” and cocktails with the South’s best moonshines and whiskeys, has two Nashville locations. The Stillery is set to open at New Square this fall.
Los Angeles-based Jinya Ramen Bar will join the new Chandler development with a 2,400-square-foot restaurant. The chain specializes in ramen noodle dishes and has locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Chandler location, opening this fall, will be the restaurant’s first Arizona location. Carol Schillne and Cole Schillne of CBRE in Phoenix represented Jinya Ramen Bar in the lease negotiations.
“Given the challenging retail environment, these restaurant leases speak volumes to the quality of the New Square project,” Ms. Linthicum said in the release. “Both restaurant concepts are great additions to the bustling historic downtown Chandler area.”
New Square features 50,000 square feet of office space, 10,000 square feet of retail space, a 110-room Hilton Garden Inn and a five-story parking structure. Other tenants at the project include Great Western Bank, WellSky and DC Steak House.
