Bikers mount up for mountain rides

Beginner and more experienced mountain bikers can pick up some tips June 4 at San Tan Mountain Regional Park, 6533 W. Phillips Road, Queen Creek.

From  7 a.m. to 9 a.m., beginners will learn about their bikes and equipment from local experts and take a short group ride.

At the same time,  there will be an advanced beginner/intermediate mountain bike ride. It is a two-hour group ride on moderate terrain,  organizers said.

Helmets are required for each session, and bikers should bring water and an extral inner tube.
