Schreibman: Caring people really do exist

Posted

At a time when the coronavirus has impacted us all, there are always those caring and humane individuals who stand out in improving life.

One such woman lives nearby our street and has lightened our days at home, giving us a variety of reading options by way of her pretty “little library” outside of her house. When our regular library was forced to close, the little library was open 24/7. All we had to do was drop off some of our books, once read, and take some of the unread books.

It has proven to give my husband and me dozens of hours of enjoyable reading escape. But, more important, it has shown that amongst all those complaining, bored, angry residents, doing nothing to help the situation, are those beautiful giving souls who are truly living life as it was meant to be.

We thank her and those others who do make a difference.
