Sagewood appoints Joshua Bredimus as new Fitness Specialist

Sagewood, a Life Plan Community featuring a resort-style setting in Phoenix, announced the appointment of Joshua Bredimus as the new Fitness Specialist.

Bredimus is joining Sagewood with two decades of experience, a range of knowledge and a passion for fitness and well-being. While he was attending Arizona State University, Bredimus began working in a physical therapy clinic and realized he loved the field. After this experience, he changed his major, achieved a Bachelor of Science in exercise and wellness and pursued it as a career path.

After many years of working for high-end resorts as the director of spa and fitness, Bredimus decided to pursue working with aging adults. At Sagewood, Bredimus will be teaching group fitness classes and designing exercise workshops based on the interests of the community. He will also work with individual residents to offer a personalized fitness plan based on their goals, history and ability levels.

“We are thrilled to welcome Josh to the Sagewood team,” says Stewart Ingram, executive director of Sagewood. “He is already fitting in perfectly with the community and we know our residents are going to love him. With such an active lifestyle community, we know how important it was to find someone to offer the best fitness program and we are confident that Josh will do so.”

Bredimus is excited to implement new programs to the community designed specifically for residents with Parkinson’s Disease and adding additional classes like pickleball prep and conditioning. His goal is to ensure all classes are designed to be fun and offer the benefits of strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness.
