Phoenix traffic stop nets 39,000 fentanyl pills

The Phoenix Police Department announced Monday that officers uncovered 39,000 fetanyl pill and cash after pulling over a vehicle.

Officers found probable cause during the traffic stop last week that the driver was involved in illegal drug sales, police said.

A search warrant was written and served on the vehicle, police said, adding the fentanyl pills and $15,000 were seized.
