Phoenix police officer seriously injured in 3-vehicle crash

A Phoenix police officer sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a Friday morning crash near the Black Canyon Access and Buckeye roads, authorities said.

The collision involving a Phoenix Police Department Tahoe and two other vehicles occurred about 12:45 a.m. March 14.

Two other adults suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Detectives responded to take over the investigation, and it is not known if impairment was a factor in the collision.
