Phoenix police identify woman killed in hit and run

Phoenix police have identified the woman who died at a hospital after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday night in the West Valley.

 Katherine Vittoria, 52, died following the collision, police said Saturday.

Detectives are searching for the driver of the vehicle that struck her about 9:30 p.m. Feb. 20 near 33rd and Northern avenues, police said.

Preliminary information suggests the woman was crossing Northern Avenue at 33rd Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Northern Avenue, according to a release.
