Phoenix PD seizes more than 1 million fentanyl pills - a record bust

Phoenix police detectives along with the Drug Enforcement Bureau have made the single-largest fentanyl bust in Phoenix police history.

And two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure - more than 1 million pills.

On Sept. 21, police executed search warrants and found the pills in a home in Avondale, officials said in a release.

Both suspects - Francisco Delgado, 26, and Jose Molina Quinonez, 21- were booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a number of felony charges, police said.

"Detectives followed leads involving the possession of narcotic drugs for sale. Detectives used advanced investigative techniques to develop enough information to obtain a search warrant for a home in Avondale, as well as a vehicle belonging to one of the suspects,” a Phoenix Police Department release stated.
