Phoenix changes trash, recycling days this week, bulk pickup faces delays
City of Phoenix

INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Beginning Monday, Oct. 3, the Phoenix Public Works Department will implement new trash and recycling collection days citywide.
The change will “maximize efficiencies and customer service,” a city release stated.
City officials said the change will affect 80% of the community’s customers.
Residents are encouraged to visit Phoenix.gov/PublicWorks to access the citywide map to find their new collection day. The city also was to notify of the changes by mail.
The city reminds residents to place their containers at the curb for collection by 5:30 a.m. on the scheduled day of collection. Containers should be placed at least 4-feet apart and away from obstructions, according to the city.
The city recently announced that the Public Works Department is having staffing issues, delaying bulk trash collection. To see updated fourth-quarter pickup dates, visit: https://bit.ly/3dIWfii.
