Paul’s parents were Peter and Anne Kuna of Joliet, Illinois, where he was born. He had no remaining siblings or never had any children.
Paul went to school in Joliet, Illinois and worked in construction after school. His main job was firefighter and paramedic for the Joliet Fire Department. He retired early because of an injury on the job.
Paul and his wife Janice lived in Estes Park, Colorado for some time.
He was active with the gun range as he loved guns and target shooting there. They had no children. They liked to travel.
After she passed, he moved to Apache Junction where he was living until now.
Paul joined the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers and was for a time Vice President of the nonprofit corporation. He was part of the Quad Squad (4x4) with the Rangers.
He had had a bout of colon cancer, that he beat, and had a number of heart issues including heart failure. But on July 27, 2020 his heart finally gave out.
The memorial service for Paul was August 12, 2020 at the Superstition Cremation and Funeral Home in Apache Junction.
