INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Phoenix detectives are investigating a shooting that put a man in the hospital and another man in jail.
About 11 a.m. Sept. 3, officers responded to a call about a shooting near 12th Street and Mission Lane and found a man with at least one gunshot wound.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Homicide detectives responded to assume the investigation due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, and the suspect, 42-year-old Francisco Valencia, was arrested. Probable cause was established, police said, and Valencia was booked on multiple felony charges.
