Man, 65, dies weeks after assault, Phoenix homicide detectives take over case

Homicide detectives have assumed an investigation into the death of a 65-year-old man who was injured during a fight on Dec. 30.

Lincoln Guest was taken to a hospital with what at the time were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries following the fight that occurred about 4 p.m. near 13th Avenue and Sherman Street, police said.

He died Jan. 14 and on Jan. 16 the Office of the Medical Examiner rule his death a homicide.
