Lisa Nichols to headline women’s empowerment conference in Scottsdale

Motivational speaker Lisa Nichols, a New York Times best-selling author, joins other presenters at the Ninth Annual Phenomenal Woman Empowerment Experience, Vision 2 Victory.

The conference  is  8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15. at the JW Camelback Marriott and Spa Resort,  5402 E. Lincoln Drive in Scottsdale, according to a press release. 

Vision 2 Victory will be the first appearance in Arizona for Ms. Nichols, the release said, adding that the event was originally set for May, but was rescheduled to August due to COVID-19 closures. 

Ms. Nichols has over 20-years experience delivering, interactive keynotes to a wide range of organizations. She has served as a resident coach on multiple media outlets.

“Vision 2 Victory was created to equip, encourage and elevate women and give them the courage to achieve victory in all aspects of their lives,” said PWEN founder Sharise L. Erby-Castle in a prepared statement.

The organization, PWEN, is described as an “award-winning nonprofit” created to mentor, coach and educate women to help them achieve success in a supportive, empowering, environment, with  has chapters in Phoenix and in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“In addition to Lisa, who many know from her appearances on the Oprah Winfrey and Steve Harvey shows and best-selling books, we’re having other incredibly powerful speakers. In these uncertain times, Vision 2 Victory is about giving hope, overcoming adversity and helping women reconnect with their dreams,” Ms. Erby-Castle added.

The author of “Whole Women Win,” Ms. Erby-Castle was recognized as the Ready Set Go Foundations’ 2019 Business Woman of the Year in Phoenix; selected as the “Woman Rising Up” by Women on a Mission; and was the recipient of the 2016 Black Wall Street’s Community Leadership Award.

Vision 2 Victory also includes music, entertainment, vendors, prizes and an “After Glow” reception with photo ops for VIP ticket holders from 4-6 pm. Lunch is included with VIP Platinum and Gold level tickets are available for purchase by Bronze ticket holders. VIP tickets are almost sold out.

A portion of proceeds will provide college scholarships to young women in need through the Carrie J. Gray Scholarship Program. Since 2013, PWEN has provided over 57,000 in funding for support to underserved women in the Phoenix community, according to the release.

To ensure guest safety, special seating will be used to accommodate social distancing; face masks will be available and other enhanced measures in place by the venue and PWEN.

Event sponsors include the Arizona Community Foundation and OD Harris Media. Tickets start at $99 and will be available until Aug. 11 at pwee2020.com.
