Grammy Award-winner John Mayer’s solo tour rolls through Phoenix in April.
His first-ever solo acoustic tour arrives at Footprint Center, 201 E. Jefferson St., for a 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5. Mayer will deliver a night of rare, full acoustic sets, with a blend of promised acoustic and electric guitar and intimate piano performances.
The tour runs through April 14, and Mayer will quickly be back in the Valley. Dead & Company, the Grateful Dead offshoot featuring Mayer in the band, will launch its last-ever tour, which brings the legendary combo to Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix on Tuesday, May 23.
Phoenix native Alec Benjamin will open Mayer’s solo concert at Footprint Center.
Two pairs of front-row tickets for Mayer’s solo tour will be auctioned off for each show on the tour through charityauctionstoday.com. All proceeds from the auctions benefit the Back To You Fund, which has supported many charities, including Mayer’s Heart & Armor Foundation, as well as programs supporting at-risk youth and the homeless.
