The Halloween Town Pumpkin Patch annual event is going above and beyond to ensure families can still have an enjoyable experience this season despite the scary “new normal.”

Located in the parking lot at the east end of Paradise Valley Mall, Halloween Town Pumpkin Patch will be at 4568 E Cactus Road in Phoenix, according to a press release.

The event will run Oct. 22 through Halloween. Hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m., Monday–Friday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday–Sunday.

Activities include a hay maze, pumpkin painting, bounce houses, carnival games, ferris wheel, mirror maze, big slide, face painting, balloon twister and kiddie rides.

Plus a large pumpkin patch where kids can select their favorite gourds to take home for Jack-O-Lantern carving.

Food and beverage options will include favorite festival eats such as hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers, pretzels, nachos, cotton candy, funnel cake, snow cones, popcorn and lemonade, soft drinks and more, the release said.

“Keeping everyone safe is our top priority. We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure the layout will be setup to ensure proper social distancing and safety.

We want our community to enjoy the fun and magic they look forward to each year,” said Halloween Town Pumpkin Patch Founder Frankie Epifani in a prepared statement.

Precautionary measures:

  • Temperature checks at entry and pre-entry COVID-19 questionnaire
  • Mask requirements of staff and any guests ages 2 and up
  • Contactless ticket purchasing with plexiglass protection
  • Hand washing and sanitizing stations placed throughout the event
  • Social distancing markers in areas of crowding–like lines to get on rides
  • Food court seating spaced 6 feet apart
  • Safe handling of money and food with proper glove protection
  • All staff will receive temperature checks and wear masks

Admission to Halloween Town Pumpkin Patch is $5, kids ages 2 and under will be admitted for free. Options for all day wristbands for rides start at $20, added the release.
