Early morning party in Phoenix turns deadly

Phoenix police detectives are investigating the death of a 33-year-old man who was shot early Saturday morning during a party at a house in the 2800 block of North 48th Lane.
Police responded to a shooting call about 4:20 a.m. Sept. 7 at the home where they found Humberto Ortiz suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene, police said.
Preliminary information is that Ortiz was shot by an unknown suspect who left the area prior to police responding.
