Drivers should plan ahead and expect delays from Friday night until Monday morning as crews work on a traffic shift along northbound State Route 143 between Interstate 10 and Loop 202.
Detours are planned from 10 p.m. March 21 until 4 a.m. March 24, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation, which also announced I-10 ramp closures to SR 143 during the work.
In addition, the following will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday:
Westbound I-10 detour: Use westbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 to reach southbound SR 143.
Eastbound I-10 detour: Use eastbound I-10 to eastbound US 60 to northbound Loop 101 to westbound Loop 202 to access southbound SR 143.
Motorists traveling on southbound I-17, westbound I-10 and westbound US 60 who are heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport should use westbound I-10 to access the airport entrances at 24th Street or Buckeye Road, or use the Sky Harbor Boulevard entrance from westbound Loop 202, ADOT officials said.
