The U.S. Department of Defense is collaborating with Arizona State University on a two-day event to introduce the Tempe and West campuses to defense career and research opportunities
The Sept. 12-13 sessions are done through the department’s Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
“The ‘Taking The Pentagon To The People’ program will allow students, faculty and staff to meet directly with defense personnel from nearly 20 DOD agencies to learn more about direct hiring programs, scholarships, internships, small business opportunities, research grants and more,” according to a release.
More than 750 internship opportunities are available within the DOD for next summer, the release stated, and the department also has more than 650 permanent job openings in career fields across 94 countries.
