The Better Business Bureau serving the Pacific Southwest has partnered with Scottsdale-based GoDaddy to award a total of $55,000 to nonprofits across Arizona and California.

BBB said in a news release it is stepping in to help struggling nonprofits make ends meet as demand for their resources have increased while donations have decreased over the last year.

The second annual Main St. Accelerator program through GoDaddy and BBB concludes in July with a graduating class of 40 entrepreneurs.

Approximately 18 local nonprofits have been awarded subgrants to enhance their business development and aid underserved small businesses.

BBB said each chosen nonprofit aligns with its mission for trust and integrity in the community. One such nonprofit is The Rosie Network out of Ramona, California.

Each nonprofit awardee will be expected to execute an initiative that aligns with their cause by the end of the year. A detailed report describing the impact, key performance indicators, metrics and lessons learned from the project will be submitted to BBB to fulfill the subgrant criteria.
