The artist studio tour Hidden in the Hills is returning to Cave Creek, Carefree and North Scottsdale.
Coordinated by the nonprofit Sonoran Arts League, this year’s free, self-guided tour features 164 artists at 41 studios throughout the three cities. The event takes place during the last two weekends of November: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-19 and Nov. 24-26.
Now in its 27th year, the event attracts thousands of patrons who appreciate fine art and seek a variety of mediums, styles and price ranges. The art tour also attracts holiday shoppers looking for original, unique gifts.
Each artist’s studio is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during both weekends of the tour, giving patrons plenty of time to visit multiple studios.
Guests can visit studios based on art genres. Others may choose studios based on a certain style, such as contemporary or western.
Organizers encourage guests to get a group of friends together and meander through the tour, stopping randomly at studios along the way.
