The Arizona Talking Book Library provides free audio book delivery/downloadable services to the visually impaired, physically limited, and print disabled throughout the state.
Any resident who cannot read standard print, hold a book, or turn pages is eligible for this free service.
All business is conducted by phone, email, fax, and USPS postal service. The library literally is delivered to the eligible client. Each person has direct access to their own personal librarian and will receive materials, including the player and headphones free of charge.
The Talking Book Library’s “reading” materials either come in audio or braille formats.
Medical and education professionals are able to certify the application for service. Once an application is completed and signed, email it to apply@azlibrary.gov.
The library participates at health/community fairs throughout the state.
To schedule a presentation about library services to staff, volunteers, or the public, contact Outreach & Community Engagement Librarian Christine Tuttle by email at ctuttle@azlibrary.gov or by calling 602-926-3354.
The library is currently scheduling for November and onward.
