Three performances remain in the current Lunch Time Theater production of “Snow Queen” at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix.
Lunch Time Theater offers one-act plays lasting 45 to 50 minutes, to which guests can bring a lunch or pre-order one from the Herberger’s caterer when ordering tickets. Tickets are $10 each, not including lunch, and feature short plays and musicals.
“Snow Queen” is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s wintery fairy tale of the struggle between good and evil. The story about the power of true love follows young Gerda as she seeks to rescue Kai from the Snow Queen’s Icy Palace.
Remaining performances on Herberger’s Kax Stage are Tuesday, Dec. 12; Wednesday, Dec. 13; and Thursday, Dec. 14. All shows start at 12:10 p.m.
Tickets are available in advance online here, or by calling the box office at 602-252-8497. To purchase tickets on the day of the show, go to the Kax Stage entrance off of Van Buren and 3rd Street.
Next up in the Lunch Time Theater series will be a musical concert featuring T.A. Burrows.
The “man of a thousand voices” performs some of his favorite pop, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll songs in his own style in an hour-long show. Between songs, his anecdotes reflect his career as a professional entertainer.
The production runs from Monday, Jan. 29 through Thursday, Feb. 8.
